Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What are your hours?

    General business hours are from 8-5 Monday through Friday.

    The Recording Studio offers more flexible hours and is available evenings and weekends to make scheduling easier and more accessible.

    We also have a mail slot for after-hours and weekend drop-offs.

  2. Where is Above All Multimedia Located?

    AAMP is located at 5420 Newport Drive, Suite 53 - Rolling Meadows, IL 60008.

    We are just a few blocks from the intersection of Algonquin Road and Route 53. Our suite is in the third building back, in the Mercury Corporate Center. See the map to our location.

  3. What is the turnaround time?

    Turn around time is job specific. Larger or more complex jobs obviously require more time to complete. While many jobs are completed in 24-hours or less, we ask clients to allow 24 hours for a 100 piece job, 48 hours for 100-250 pieces, 3-4 business days for 250 pieces or more.

  4. What is the difference between duplication and replication?

    The difference is in the creation. Duplication creates a CD-R or DVD-R, while replication creates a CD or DVD. Please allow 7-10 business days for replication orders. See further explanation.

  5. What are my print options?

    Full Color Inkjet, Thermal Print, Silk Screen Printing, Offset Printing. Learn more about printing options.

  6. What format will you need to provide for your artwork?

    We accept the following formats: .ai, .eps, .pdf, .tiff, and .jpg

    Please be sure that your fonts are created as outlines whenever possible and to include all linked files. For best results, all artwork should be provided in a resolution of 300 DPI or greater. View our available templates

  7. How much can I fit on one CD or DVD?
    • CD – A CD holds 750 megabytes of data, equivalent to 80 minutes. While the 80 minute CD is largely the industry standard, many manufacturers recommend limiting the content of your CD's to 74 minutes, as there are still a few very old CD players out there that will not recognize an 80 minute CD.
    • DVD – A DVD holds 4.7 gigabytes of data, equivalent to 2 hours of video without compression. Please remember that added items like menus and chapters will reduce this time slightly. If you need to squeeze more than 2 hours onto a DVD, we can digitize and then re-master your project to DVD with more compression. This will however reduce the image quality slightly.

  8. What about shipping?

    Our preferred shipper is UPS. Our standard shipping method is UPS Ground. By request, we ship Overnight or 2nd-Day to anywhere in the U.S. For local deliveries requiring same day service, we work with a messenger service or send one of our staff out with your order.

    For large quantities, it is often cheaper to ship via truck. Shipping cost varies depending on quantity and destination.
